When you train employees on additional tasks or updates to an SOP you should document them as you do for annual training and onboarding training. Employees should be alerted to SOP revisions and trained on those revisions within a week of the revision being finalized and approved. If an employee is assigned new job tasks and needs additional training, a checklist like they used for onboarding will allow you to document their new skills and knowledge. Like all training documentation, you must retain the records and keeping the records is a legal requirement.
