GrowerIQ Features: Compliance & Quality Assurance
Seed-to-sale tracking is one of the biggest requirements for compliance with Health Canada's cannabis policies. Tracking is also required in many US state cannabis programs and is an essential practice to maximize production efficiency and ensure quality. Along with batch tracking and reporting, GrowerIQ offers many features that make compliance and quality assurance easier than ever.
GrowerIQ was designed in collaboration with Master Grower, Shlomo Booklin, who ensured that the software offers all the tools that Master Growers are seeking. The cultivation portion of GrowerIQ goes beyond Health Canada cannabis compliance and provides resources growers can use to improve their crops. GrowerIQ will help you grow the best cannabis possible by going beyond seed-to-sale software with metrics, live environmental data tracking, and the ability to run custom reports to compare crop data.
GrowerIQ alerts you when conditions are not ideal. If your plants have been left in a growth stage too long, or employees have outstanding SOPs to review, GrowerIQ will have an alert on the main dashboard to ensure that nothing gets forgotten!
Batch Numbering and Batch Tracking
Plant tracking is a keystone requirement of Cannabis Act compliance. GrowerIQ seed-to-sale software allows cannabis cultivators to assign batch numbers and track plants from start to finish. It can log cloning and seeding of batches, as well as unique cultivation activities, like destroying sick plants, to ensure every plant is accounted for.
GrowerIQ tracks your plants throughout your facility. It can be paired with label printers and scanning guns that work in unison with custom barcodes, allowing growers to log plant activities such as movement from room to room, or tracking plant growth from stage to stage.
GrowerIQ seed-to-sale software not only tracks batches and their movement through your facility, our cultivation software also tracks what happens to each batch. Activities like pesticide application, irrigation, trimming, and nutrient application are logged with a two step sign off for the person who does the activity and the person who verifies that it has been completed properly.
This also allows facilities to track sanitation activities, allowing GrowerIQ to alert you when conditions are not ideal. If your plants have been left in a growth stage too long, or need irrigation, for example, GrowerIQ will have an alert on the main dashboard to ensure that nothing gets forgotten!
Tracking activities may sound like a tedious step, but many growers do this by hand using paper notebooks that aren’t accessible to everyone in the facility and can get lost or damaged. Software solutions create records that help keep everyone on the same page and can be retained with integrity.
Why is this data retention so important? It’s not just for regulatory compliance. If a batch has an issue like an adverse event, your quality assurance personnel will need to investigate. Investigations can be tedious and time consuming when paper records need to be sorted through. With GrowerIQ, reports on the batch can be run in seconds, allowing risk assessments and corrective actions (CAPA) to be performed in a more timely manner with more accurate information.
Quality Testing and Document Storage
Since document retention and test result tracking is so important to quality assurance and Cannabis Act compliance, GrowerIQ offers state-of-the-art document storage. You are able to upload documents like SOPs and forms that can be accessed by employees, limit employee access throughout the system, and store training records.
Even more exciting is the ability to upload test results and set limits and alerts. Acceptable limits for pesticide residues, THC, CBD, and other factors can be customized so batches can be easily reviewed before being released from quality hold. GrowerIQ seed-to-sale software also tracks samples that were taken for either testing or retention.
Monitoring the growing environment is an important part of quality assurance. In order to produce cannabis with consistent cannabinoid content, yield, and growth time, the environment has to be consistent. Different strains will have slight differences in their preference for things like temperature and humidity, but finding the ideal conditions for each strain, and then reproducing those conditions, ensures a more consistent cannabis product.
To help monitor growing environments and compare conditions between batches, GrowerIQ offers data collection and tracking when linked to environmental sensors. If a sensor reads conditions that are outside of the ideal specifications you set, GrowerIQ seed-to-sale software will alert you and can connect with controller boxes to automatically respond by adjusting environmental controls like HVAC, shutters, and fans. This also means that when you log into GrowerIQ you can see real time continuous sensor data without walking the whole facility to check thermostats and set points.
