THE INFARMED REPORT, REBUILT FROM YOUR RECORDS
GrowerIQ builds your INFARMED report from the seed-to-sale records you already keep: one cumulative workbook for the calendar year in INFARMED’s own template, with a review workbook beside it that explains every row.
- Rebuild the whole year on every run, so a correction to an earlier quarter lands on its original row
- See the verdict as soon as the run ends: ready to submit, or open the review workbook first
- The review workbook names the screen for each item to fix, so you correct the record and generate again

The Challenge
A calendar-year workbook, kept up by hand
The annual report is one workbook for the calendar year, and INFARMED collects it every quarter with the year to date. Kept in a spreadsheet, that means carrying last quarter’s rows forward, keying in the new ones and hoping no earlier record has changed since you sent it.
- Copying movements out of several screens into INFARMED’s template by hand
- Hunting for a row you already submitted when a February harvest weight is corrected
- Translating your own destruction methods and reasons into INFARMED’s terms, line by line
- Accounting for stock you held at go-live, or stock sitting in a contract warehouse
- One lot loaded at go-live as several records, now exporting as several lots with the same name
- No written trail of why a row says what it says when a question comes back
What does the review workbook tell you before you submit?
Every run of the INFARMED report writes a second workbook, in English or Portuguese, that explains each row and the records behind it. It groups the open work by cause and names the screen to fix each item on.
GrowerIQ flags what it cannot prove rather than filling it in. Movements the records do not support are listed for you to settle before you submit.
| Review tab | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Start here | The verdict, the key numbers and a table of contents |
| To fix | One row per item you can fix in GrowerIQ, Required items first, each with how to fix it |
| To prepare | Movements the records could not prove, with the lot, dates, quantity and counterparty they hold |
| Notes | The values the report used and the limits of the report itself |
| Settings used | The report settings as they stood for this run |
Before GrowerIQ
Patch a submitted row by hand whenever a record changes, and keep your own notes on why each row says what it does.
After GrowerIQ
Pick the year and generate. The whole year is rebuilt from your records, corrections included, and the review workbook explains each row.
The Solution
How GrowerIQ builds the INFARMED report
GrowerIQ reads the year’s lot movements from your seed-to-sale history, writes them into INFARMED’s template and checks each row against the records behind it. Every run gives you two files: the one you submit and the one that explains it.
Map
Tell the report once how your records read in INFARMED’s terms: regime, row order, go-live stock, third-party storage, and your destruction methods and reasons. It all sits on one tab in Organization Settings.
Generate
Pick the report year and click Generate Report. The run happens on GrowerIQ’s servers, so you can leave the page and come back to its progress or its result.
Review & Submit
A banner gives the verdict and the page counts what is left to fix and to check. Download both workbooks, work through the To fix tab, then generate again until the file is right.
Process
How it works: from your records to the INFARMED report
Complete the settings
On the INFARMED Report tab, set the regime and row order, then map your third-party storage and your destruction methods and reasons.
Generate the year
Open the INFARMED Annual Report card on Quality Assurance > Reports, pick the report year and click Generate Report. A progress panel lists each step as it runs.
Read the verdict
Green reads “Ready to submit to INFARMED.” Amber or red asks you to read the review workbook first, with a count of findings to fix and to check.
Download and submit
Download both the submission workbook and the review workbook; generate again any time for a fresh copy.
Features
Core capabilities
INFARMED’s template. Rows are written to INFARMED’s workbook on the Canábis_Registo sheet, one row per lot movement. INFARMED’s dropdown lists stay on each generated row, and a file that does not match the template stops the run instead of reaching you.
Whole-year rebuild. Each run reads the calendar year from your seed-to-sale history. A corrected receipt, for example, is written where it was first reported, with a comment giving the declared and the corrected quantity.
Review workbook in English or Portuguese. Five tabs: Start here, To fix, To prepare, Notes and Settings used. Each finding is Required, Recommended or a Note, and gives its row numbers in the submission workbook.
Flags, never guesses. A movement the records cannot prove is not filled in. It is listed under Movements to prepare by hand, with the lot, dates, quantity and counterparty the records hold.
Runs on the server. Generation carries on if you close the tab. Reopen the page and it picks up your latest run, still going or finished, with a progress console that logs each stage.
Settings in INFARMED’s terms. Map destruction methods to INFARMED’s treatment methods and the company that carries them out, and reasons to Quebra - Mortalidade or Quebra - Resíduos Vegetais. Every settings change is logged with its old and new values.
Use Cases
Who uses the INFARMED report in GrowerIQ?
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
Generate the year, read one verdict and submit the file. The review workbook keeps a written account of how every row was built, ready if INFARMED asks about one.
Quality Assurance
Work the To fix tab from the top: each item names the screen to open. A destruction reason recorded wrongly can be amended on the destruction material’s page, with a dated entry that keeps the original.
Operations and Inventory
Keep recording in GrowerIQ as you do today. Moves into and out of a contract warehouse are reported as changes of custody to the company you mapped, and stock loaded at go-live is reported as stock you already held.
Regulatory Compliance
Built around INFARMED’s own template
The INFARMED report writes the calendar year into INFARMED’s workbook and keeps the evidence for each row in GrowerIQ. Settings changes and destruction reason amendments are recorded as dated activities, so the records behind the file stay traceable.
- Regime column set from your settings: GACP, GMP I or GMP II
- Destruction methods mapped to INFARMED’s five treatment methods, with the treatment entity named
- Destruction reasons amended with a dated entry, your name and a written explanation, while the original stays in the history
- The report settings used for each run saved in the review workbook’s Settings used tab
Ecosystem
Part of the GrowerIQ ecosystem
The INFARMED report reads the records your teams already keep across GrowerIQ. It sits beside our other regulator reports, such as the ODC quarterly report, in GrowerIQ’s cannabis compliance software.
Cultivation Tracking
Sowing, cloning, transplants, mother selection and harvests, with weights before and after drying and trimming, become rows in the workbook.

Workbook for the year
The calendar year lives in one cumulative file in INFARMED’s template. Every run rebuilds it, and new rows follow the ones you already submitted.
Files per run
The submission workbook is the file you send. The review workbook explains each row, groups open work by cause and lists what the records could not prove.
Earlier rows re-keyed after a correction
When a record from an earlier quarter changes, fix it once in GrowerIQ. The next run carries the correction in place, and so does every file after it.
FAQ
INFARMED report: frequently asked questions
Does the INFARMED report use INFARMED’s own template?
Yes. GrowerIQ writes the rows into INFARMED’s workbook, on the Canábis_Registo sheet, one row per lot movement, and keeps INFARMED’s dropdown lists on each generated row. The file is named INFARMED [year] [organization name].xlsx, whatever language you use GrowerIQ in.
Do I generate a new file every quarter?
Yes, and each time you generate the whole calendar year. With the default Chronological row order, the new quarter’s rows follow the previous quarter’s.
I corrected a record from an earlier quarter. Where does the change go?
On the original row. GrowerIQ rebuilds the year from your history on every run, so the corrected values appear where that movement was first reported. You fix the record in GrowerIQ, not in the spreadsheet.
What is in the review workbook?
Five tabs, opening with the verdict on Start here. It is written in English or Portuguese, following your GrowerIQ language. Each finding is Required, Recommended or a Note, and its Submission rows column points to the matching rows in the file you submit. The INFARMED Annual Report overview walks through each tab.
What happens when GrowerIQ cannot prove a movement?
It flags the movement instead of guessing. The To prepare tab lists it under Movements to prepare by hand, with the lot, dates, quantity and counterparty the records hold, so you can settle each line before you submit.
How are destruction methods and reasons reported?
In the report settings you map each recorded method to one of INFARMED’s five treatment methods and name the company that carries it out, and each reason to Quebra - Mortalidade or Quebra - Resíduos Vegetais. If a reason was recorded wrongly on a past destruction, you can amend the destruction reason from the material’s page. The change is logged as a new dated entry and the original stays in the history.
Which regime does the workbook report under?
The one you choose in the settings: GACP, GMP I or GMP II. It is written in the Regime column of every row. See how GrowerIQ supports EU GMP and GACP operations.
Which movements does the INFARMED report write?
Cultivation movements (sowing, cloning, transplants, mother selection, harvests, and weights before and after drying and trimming), domestic and import acquisitions, samples sent for analysis and retained samples, plant losses and residues with their treatment, domestic and export sales, stock held in third-party storage, and lot splits and merges. A movement the records cannot prove is listed in the To prepare tab for you to settle before you submit.
How do I get access to the INFARMED report?
GrowerIQ switches the report on for your organization, and your administrator adds the INFARMED Report permission to the roles that need it. The same permission, with access to Organization Settings, opens the settings tab, and the INFARMED report settings article covers each setting. Still preparing your licence application?
